Auto-Crop Animation for Nuke
What does it do:
Saves storage space and significantly improves processing speed in compositing software to allow for faster playback and iteration.
More specifically:
It crop's information to only include the used pixels of your input image sequence.
In the case above the input frames went from a combined 317Mb down to 38Mb with no loss of practical data.
How to use it:
Bring in the gizmo from your tab menu in the node editor or from the toolbar on screen left.
Attach the in pipe to your data.
Attach the out pipe to the rest of your comp or a write node.
Click the "Evaluate Input" Button on the node.
Installation Instructions:
Copy the contents of the provide "dotnuke" folder to your local ".nuke" directory.
Windows: {drive_letter}:\Users\{username}\.nuke
Linux: /home/{username}/.nuke
If you already have a "menu.py", simply append the contents of the provided one to your own.
